What's New
  • Through the Economic Stimulus Bill the Subsidized Employment Program (SEP) provides a subsidy to employers to offset some or all of the wages and costs of employing a participant. Program participants perform paid work experience jobs which will provide the opportunity to improve their job skills and practice good work habits while increasing their household income. For more information about SEP see the links below for both employers (Non-Profit, Public, and for Profit) and for job seekers.
  • Income Tax Assistance: From January 16-April 15, 2010 several VITA sites are providing free income tax filing assistance.  Click on the link for agencies providing this service or call 2-1-1 for more information.
  • California Client EBT Website  This website is a resource for California EBT cardholders to check individual account balances, view transaction history detail, check claim status, and locate retailers and automated teller machines (ATMs) that accept the EBT card.
  • HPRP SONOMA Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-Housing Program HPRP provides limited, short-term financial assistance (security deposit, rent or utility assistance, moving costs) for those who have lost housing or who are at risk of losing housing. This is not mortgage payment assistance. Other restrictions apply.
  • www.BackToWork.org   If you're unemployed and trying to get back to work, this website from the California Workforce Association has information on unemployement, finidng a new job, training, and for employers.
