SonomaWORKS supports training and education as part of an individual’s welfare to work plan. This may include but is not limited to, classes offered by: colleges, community colleges, adult schools, regional occupation programs, and private schools. Subjects can include occupational training, reading, writing, arithmetic, GED test preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), or other education directly related to and needed to obtain or retain employment.
SonomaWORKS participants may also learn job skills through on-the-job training as offered through the community service and work experience programs.
